A Lesson On Race, Ethnicity, And Culture

What is Ethnicity and who has it.

Ethnicity is described as a group of people who share a common culture, and language.

Culture is defined as a group of people who share a common value system, common beliefs, and shared concerns.  This definition can be expanded to include common history or common experience.  We will discuss Black Culture and what can be done to save it.

That was my first piece as a blogger.  It was less than 100 words long.  I felt it necessary to start My Village Project off with a discussion of Ethnicity and Culture.  The underlying though in that piece was Race.

Today, I ran across a  post from indiewire.com.  The piece is titled We Need To Educate Ourselves on Race Vs Ethnicity  I hope you take a minute to read this.  The writer breaks it down much better than I could.  Copy and past  the following URL into your browser.  Enjoy the read.
